Proud Mom Moment

In August, when Sage and Kai were creating their invite list for their birthday party, Sage made me so proud. After he rattled off his close friends’ names, he said, “and Nathan.” I know Nathan from working at the school and know that he’s a boy with severe disabilities. Sage has known him since kindergarten.

Sage said he remembered that, last year, Nathan had written on his “All About Me” poster that his one wish was to be invited to a birthday party. Apparently in all his years, he hadn’t. We invited Nathan to the party and he had a great time! My heart was so full that Sage showed such compassion by including his special friend. It was definitely a proud mom moment.
