Yay for Veggies!

The other day, I was with my friend Jen at Babies R'Us. She asked me to come along to give my opinion about items a first time parent might need. The first thing she said to me is that her husband had one request - that she get whatever it is that makes Sage love salads! Ha! Jen and Andy are followers of my blog and saw the picture I posted of Sage happily devouring a salad.

So, I thought I'd share that Sage and I are not the only veggie lovers in our family. Kai LOVES broccoli. He was literally eating it by the handfuls last night at dinner. I think this is hilarious because just the smell of cooked broccoli makes Jared want to vomit. Interestingly enough, of all the foods dropped on the floor at our house, broccoli is the only one Rosco spits back out!

What's the secret to getting kids to like veggies? I'm not really sure, but I do know it's not some miracle product from Babies R'Us. It's probably because I ate a lot of vegetables when I was pregnant. Also, when we introduced the boys to food, it was veggies first - then fruit and meats.

Yay for veggies!!!

Everyday Matters

"Put your hands in the air." I love when we are riding in the car and the boys start movin and groovin to the music. They put their hands up and wiggle to the latest dance hit. Big smiles all around.

Everyday Matters - "You're Welcome"

Sage is a very polite little guy. He has definitely mastered the art of saying, "please." He even extends the "e" to say, "pleeease," when he really wants something. Sage also says "thank you" all the time and in the right context. The funny thing is that when he says "thank you" he immediately follows it with "you're welcome." I think we've confused him that he's supposed to say them both.

So, now it's become a little game we play.
Sage says, "thank you."
We say, "you're welcome."
He says, "you're welcome."
We say, "No, you're welcome."
He says, "You're welcome."
We say, "No, you're welcome!"
Then we say it faster and faster back and forth to each other until we're all laughing.
