Happy 250th Birthday, St. Louis!

We have had so much fun finding St. Louis's 250th birthday cakes around the region!  We went to lots of new places and many of our old favorites.  We probably had the most fun exploring all the different playgrounds at the different parks in the area. We will miss cake hunting!

Kids' Night on Broadway

The boys and I enjoyed a night at the Fox Theater to see "Annie!"  It was Sage's first trip to the Fox and even though he threw a fit saying he didn't want to go, he ended up having a great time.  It was a great show!  Sage loved the "It's a Hard Knock Life" song and Kai loved the dog in the show.  When we left, I asked the boys if they had fun.  Sage said, "Yeah, but now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head."  :)

"No Turkey for Perky"

Sage performed his first musical, "No Turkey for Perky" with the kindergarten classes.  He did a great job!

Welcome Back, Sammy!

Sammy, our Elf on the Shelf, came back the day after Thanksgiving!  He arrived by balloon from the North Pole to keep an eye on the boys, give nightly reports to Santa, and have some fun.  Here are some pictures from Sammy's adventures this year and last year.

Sammy painted the boys' noses red to look like Rudolph!

All Aboard the Polar Express!

After weeks of anticipation, we finally had our ride on the Polar Express! The boys were so excited to visit the North Pole on a real, moving train. We had so much fun.  Sage was a little disappointed that we didn't actually go to the North Pole, but they enjoyed the magic of the evening anyway.
