What a view!

One of our summer adventures included a trip to the top of the arch.  What a view!
Under the arch!
In the elevator...the VERY tiny elevator!

Looking out the windows!

Now, there's the view!  Amazing!

Lake Weekend 2012

Every summer, the Cline/Kelly family gets together at the Lake of the Ozarks for a weekend of fun!  This year, Sage was still recovering from his tonsilectomy, so he had to take it easy.  But, Kai made up for it with a splash!

Done with Diapers!

After nearly four years and thousands of dollars, we are finally done with diapers!  Kai is well on his way to being potty-trained.  He's still wearing pull-ups for long car rides or for family outings, but at home, it's all undies!

Kai's first haircut...

Well, not really his first haircut.  I've been cutting his hair with scissors for years, but this is his first haircut with clippers.  Jared and I hardly recognized him with his super short hair!  In fact, the next day I picked him up from preschool, one of the teachers had to point him out to me on the playground!!

Sage's First Surgery

In the process of registering Sage for preschool, we have had dentist appointments, multiple doctor appointments, and even a surgery!  During Sage's preschool physical with his pediatrician, we shared our concern about his extremely loud snoring and difficulty breathing while sleeping.  The pediatrician referred us to an ENT who recommended Sage have his tonsils and adenoids removed.  The ENT referred us to St. Luke's for a sleep study.  The sleep study showed Sage has moderate, obstructive sleep apnea and...should have his tonsils and adenoids removed.

In between those doctor appointments, Sage also visited the dentist who recommended...he have his tonsils and adenoids removed.  Long story short, the sleep apnea was causing all kinds of problems including malformation of Sage's mouth!

So, just today, Sage had his tonsils and adenoids removed.  The surgery went well and he is recovering with bowls of ice cream, giant popsicles, and lots of rest!

What a week!  Actually 8 days of misery.  Poor Sage!  That was no fun!  Recovery was miserable for Sage, he didn't want to eat or drink and definitely didn't want to take the yucky medicine.  Finally, on day 6, we had smiles and a request for grilled cheese.  Hooray!

Double Trouble!!!

I knew this day would come...the day the boys started teaming up to create mischief and mayhem. They are definitely earning the "Double Trouble" moniker.  Here they are after I left them alone for just a few minutes to use the bathroom...
Kai had his pajamed legs in the sink where the sippy cups were soaking.  He also had the water turned on.  Sage was eating a giant, frosted pink donut!

Field Trip!

In May, I had the opportunity to join Sage and his class on a field trip to Grant's Farm.  We had a great time!
