Winning Season!

Today was the last game of the basketball season for the boys. It was a great season and they only lost one game. Actually, they don't officially keep score, but Sage kept score in his head. Their team played really well together and they learned so much. Kai set a personal record with 16 points in one game. Sage scored 4 points in today's game. It was really remarkable to see how much they improved from just a few months ago. And, the best part is, they had fun doing it. Great job, boys! We are so proud of you.

Warm Weather Weekends!

The weather in St. Louis is known for its roller coaster pattern. This winter has been no exception. Fortunately, this year it's been mostly cold and yucky during the work week and warm and sunny during the weekend. We've been taking advantage of all those warm weather weekends with lots of outside time. Here are some pictures from our adventures.

Hiking at the Shaw Nature Reserve. Early that morning, Kai said, "I don't WANT to go on a hike." A few hours later (halfway through our four hour hike), he said, "This is awesome and I love you! Best hike ever!" Score one for Mother Nature! Seriously, the only reason I was able to drag the boys out of the park was because we were out of snacks and they were hungry. It was such a fun day!

We also spent a whole day at the zoo. This picture cracks me up because of their facial expressions. The elephants were a little stinky that day. Ha! We also got to see the new baby monkey which was super cute and fun.
