A Storyteller in the Making

Sage "reading" to Kai...

Family Dance Parties

It's not uncommon for us to break out in a family dance party in the kitchen. Usually, Jared and I each grab a kid and let the music move us. Family dance parties always put a smile on all our faces.

Here's a video with just the boys...

Let's Sing!

Here are the boys singing some of their favorite songs from school.

Here's Sage singing a Christmas song - or songs (he did a little remix)... "Good TINIES we bring..."

A Lesson In Life Cycles

The boys have been learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly.

The caterpillars have formed their chrysalises and we're waiting...

So Much Fun!

This Is Why They Have Those Signs Posted...

Yes, that is my children standing and jumping on mattresses! Jared and I recently upgraded to a king size bed and went mattress shopping. Sage and Kai wasted no time discovering the joy of jumping from mattress to mattress in the store. Even though we knew it was clearly against the rules (signs posted - Do NOT let your children jump on the mattresses), we couldn't help but laugh at how much fun they were having. Until, they wouldn't stop! Needless to say, that was the end of mattress shopping.

But, we can't ruin all the fun. So, the night before the old saggy, baggy mattress was removed, we let the boys jump away!

Snow, Snow, Where Did You Go?

This winter, we waited and waited and waited some more for some snow. Finally, one night, it snowed a few inches. Since it was such a warm winter, I knew it wouldn't last until the next day. So, the boys and I headed out to play at six o'clock at night...in the dark! But, we had a blast!

The boys rolling the base of our snowman...

Kai and Rosco enjoying a taste of our snowman. Yummy! Fresh snow!

Boys on Bikes

Sage and Kai have been some bike riding buddies lately! We love to meet at the park after work and school for a little bike ride. Well, the boys ride while Jared and I chase. :)

Potty Mouths

I guess it's to be expected in a house full of males, but I thought I had another few years before I had to listen to talk of gross bodily functions. Sage and Kai seem to think the words poop, butt, and diarrhea are hilarious. And, they say them all the time! Oh, boys!

Update: The boys are not allowed to say these dirty words at school. Sage often says, "Don't say that, you'll get in trouble." He's so serious about school that he doesn't want to get in trouble. So, the other day, Jared picked up the boys from school. As soon as they got outside to the parking lot, Sage yells, "PEE PEE. POO POO. DIARRHEA!" It's like he had been holding it in all day. :)
