A Lesson In Life Cycles
So Much Fun!
This Is Why They Have Those Signs Posted...
But, we can't ruin all the fun. So, the night before the old saggy, baggy mattress was removed, we let the boys jump away!
Snow, Snow, Where Did You Go?
This winter, we waited and waited and waited some more for some snow. Finally, one night, it snowed a few inches. Since it was such a warm winter, I knew it wouldn't last until the next day. So, the boys and I headed out to play at six o'clock at night...in the dark! But, we had a blast!
The boys rolling the base of our snowman...
Kai and Rosco enjoying a taste of our snowman. Yummy! Fresh snow!
Sage and Kai working together on the finishing touches.
Sage enjoying a sled ride in the front yard.

Potty Mouths
I guess it's to be expected in a house full of males, but I thought I had another few years before I had to listen to talk of gross bodily functions. Sage and Kai seem to think the words poop, butt, and diarrhea are hilarious. And, they say them all the time! Oh, boys!
Update: The boys are not allowed to say these dirty words at school. Sage often says, "Don't say that, you'll get in trouble." He's so serious about school that he doesn't want to get in trouble. So, the other day, Jared picked up the boys from school. As soon as they got outside to the parking lot, Sage yells, "PEE PEE. POO POO. DIARRHEA!" It's like he had been holding it in all day. :)

Everyday Matters
One of the sayings from the boys that melts my heart is, "Hold you, Momma." When either Sage or Kai wants to be held, instead of saying, "Hold me," they say, "I wanna hold you, Momma." It's heartwarming and makes me want to pick them up even if my arms are full of other stuff or I'm tired. How can you say no to that?
Mommy's Little Helper
Kai just LOVES to help me around the house. This morning, he helped me with laundry (pushing wet clothes into the dryer, pouring in the soap, and tossing dirty clothes into the washer). Then, he helped me dust, vacuum, and mop. He's so cute, following me around the house doing exactly what I do with his miniature duster, vacuum, and mop. He moves chairs, uses his attachments to get in corners and under furniture, and even remembers to empty the vacuum canister. After we're done, we give each other a high five! Kai sure makes weekend chores much more fun!

Happy Holidaze...
Well, it's January 1, 2012 and the last week has been a complete daze! Maybe it's because Sage, Kai, and I were sick nearly the whole week or that it just went by WAY too fast. At least we had some fun along the way.
Christmas Eve...

Christmas morning was so much fun! Jared and I were wide awake at 6 am - too excited to sleep. The boys didn't wake up until 7:30! We snuggled in bed for a few minutes before we let the boys into the living room to see if Santa had come. He did! They were so excited and had the "best Christmas ever!"
Wishing all the best to my family and friends for a healthy, happy, successful 2012!
